Background to Gold-i Ltd
Gold-i is the exclusive distributor for the award-winning FX & CFD trading platform, MetaTrader MT4 in the UK and is a distributor in the rest of the World. Gold-i is also the leading integrator of MetaTrader MT4 with broker 3rd party systems such as price engines, middle offices, back offices and order routing systems.
Why do you need a Bridge?
Being a successful and long-lived FX/CFD broker is all about excellent risk management and customer profiling. Using MetaTrader MT4 you will attract a wide range of customers with experience ranging from very little to true professionals who know the market well. Many will use Expert Advisors to help them trade automatically, some of which are profitable.
Use of the Gold-i Gate Bridge allows you to route business that you do not want to warehouse (take on your books) to external liquidity, and keep the profitable business for yourself.
How does the Gold-i Gate Bridge work?
The Gold-i Gate Bridge makes use of the powerful and fast MetaTrader MT4 Server API. When an order is entered by the client into the MetaTrader MT4 Client Terminal, the MetaTrader MT4 Multi Terminal, or the MetaTrader MT4 Mobile Terminal it is validated and then routed to the liquidity provider. On execution by the liquidity provider the Bridge generates 2 trades, one between the broker and the client and another between the broker and the liquidity provider, applying the relevant additional spread to the client trade.
How is the Gold-i Gate Bridge Different?
The Gold-i Gate Bridge allows full use of the order types that the liquidity provider and MetaTrader 4 support. Market and Limit orders are executed directly by the liquidity provider, and not synthetically by the Bridge (LP permitting), giving the client the best opportunity for order filling at the correct price, with minimised slippage.
Many Liquidity providers support partial fills with multiple executions, which are emulated in MetaTrader MT4 by the Gold-i Gate Bridge using advanced API techniques.
The Gold-i Gate Bridge offers markets orders, limit orders, stop loss, take profit and trailing stops.
Client Price Spreading
When trading through liquidity providers, an important decision that needs to be made is how to make a profit as the deals are 100% covered. Your profit will be generated by either giving the client a wider spread or by passing on the LP spread and charging a commission.
The Gold-i Gate Bridge supports a number of spreading mechanisms, including additional spread per security group and target/minimum profit per security group.
