Gold-i Foundation for Innovation

The Gold-i Foundation for Innovation was set up in July 2015 and officially launched by the Mayor of Guildford. Its aim is to help charities and local organisations within our Surrey-based community to push boundaries and do something innovative or remarkable.

Our Fund is administered by the Community Foundation for Surrey and so far we have supported a number of inspiring initiatives including funding a high tech library at a special school for children with learning needs and a pioneering programme at a horse sanctuary to help young people with social or emotional difficulties.

We have a team of people at Gold-i, from across all areas of the business, who have volunteered to help select which funding applications to support. They also visit the projects when we donate the money and re-visit them to see how the initiatives we have supported have evolved.

Apply for a grant

Grants are awarded to Surrey-based charities seeking funds to push the boundaries within their organisation - whether they are looking to introduce a new initiative, fund a new area of research or trial a ground-breaking project. Applicants need to highlight how the initiative will improve the lives of people within our community.

Gold-i is a Patron of Yvonne Arnaud Theatre and a Sponsor of Great Strides

Gold-i is also a proud sponsor of Guildford-based theatre, Yvonne Arnaud – a wonderful theatre which opened in 1965 and has suffered recently from funding cuts from The Arts Council.

The sponsorship is now in its 4th year and Gold-i’s support helps towards the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre’s general running costs. As part of the sponsorship, Gold-i offers hospitality to staff and clients, inviting them to enjoy professional theatre productions in a local, traditional theatre.

Great Strides

We are also a regular supporter of the annual Great Strides 65 Challenge – a 65k trek through the Surrey countryside to raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.

Our Global Head of Sales & Marketing, Chris Rowe is actively involved in Great Strides 65 and helps to manage the route when the event is taking place.
